Uzbekistan is a "landlocked country" in the hinterland of Central Asia, and it is where the "One Belt and One Road" will pass through when it extends westwards. The Uzbekistan government has been committed to actively participating in the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt and promoting economic and trade exchanges as well as energy cooperation. The project adopts the gas turbine with the highest combustion temperature, the highest single bodied power, and the highest efficiency in the world and a design that promises "zero water wastage discharge". It is able to provide more than 36 million kilowatt-hours of electricity to the local power grid every day, which will benefit millions of residents of Uzbekistan, this is an important livelihood project planned by the Uzbekistan government.
The project is located in Syr Darya Oblast of Uzbekistan, it is about 150 kilometers southwards away from the capital Tashkent. The scope of the EPC project includes design, procurement, construction, modification and trial operation of a new 1500MW gas-fired combined cycle power plant. The contract period is 36 months. The signing of the project has created an example of multilateral friendly cooperation among Chinese, Saudi Arabia, Japan and Uzbekistan enterprises in the fields of technology, funding and construction.
The pile foundation project was designed for two kinds of pile, one with diameter of 600 mm and one with diameter of 800 mm; the depth of the pile is 30-40 meters long. The stratum is complex and special as it contains marsh backfill landfill; the waste residue backfill time is short and the silt stratum is thick. In addition, there’s a 3 to 4 meters thick silt stratum layer 20 meters deep underground, coupled with the immense water source underground, which made the holes extremely fragile, hence, construction was challenging and difficult. The construction engineers and construction team of TYHEN Foundation overcame difficulties such as the inability to receive water and electricity supply in time at the construction site and the limited field operation conditions. With the utilization of TYSIM KR220C rotary drilling rig (built on a CATERPILLAR chassis), coupled with the rigorously formulated construction strategy and adjusted proportion of mud in accordance to the site conditions, the balancing of the speed of the powerhead and the advancement of lifting the Kelly bar, it effectively prevented the collapse of the hole, solved the problem of over pouring of concrete, and improved the construction efficiency. Meanwhile, Tyhen focused on safe and civilized construction, ensured the safe completion of pile foundation construction with high quality and high efficiency.
TYHEN Foundation Construction Co., Ltd. actively work on its internationalization strategic plan while maintaining great standards in the domestic market, and has established the Uzbekistan branch AVP RENTAL UC. AVP RENTAL UC is the result of the cooperation between TYHEN Foundation Construction Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Ausone Industrial Co., Ltd., It has been established since 2019, it is located in Tashkent, the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan, it mainly provides centralized procurement services for special equipment for engineering, mining, civil-usage and construction projects. In addition, AVP RENTAL UC also sells and leases rotary drilling rigs and accessories, as well as provide engineering in construction services. AVP responded to both our country's "One Belt and One Road" initiative and the Central Asian market policy as it cooperates with Chinese leading enterprises, high-end product suppliers, international financial and insurance institutions to integrate high-quality resources and have established branches in other areas of Central Asia. Other than Uzbekistan, it also established service centers in Russia, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan to provide sales of equipment and spare parts, as well as leasing, warehousing, customer services, labor services and engineering construction services; the area of services cover Eastern Europe, Central Asia and other countries and regions.
